Taimen Flyfishing with Wildmongolia

 

 

 

We are specialized outfitters fly-fishing float trips, and several camps in most beautiful rivers of Mongolia. In the Mongolian river you can enjoy the fly-fishing for Taimen, Lenok Trout and Grayling. Taimen are the biggest land locked salmonid can grow up 2 meters,50 years old & renowned for their aggressive surface strikes on real protein like mouse and squirrel pattern flies. 

There are only several river possess quite resonable population of taimen in Mongolia.

 

 

The best time to visit are between the months of May to early October. Fishing is possible until the water freezes over, but mid May~end Jun,Sep~early Oct is the prime time to fish.

Mongolia Taimen fishing is officially opening on June 15th.

We have very good relation with local soum goverment for Taimen river & get optimum support from them.

With  reservation by calling or through the internet and we will provide all the information from zero in on specific dates according to weather reports & water conditions.

 

 

 

 

My personal favorite time to fish is on Jun, July & early August can be great but it is also the rainy season so careful monitoring of weather is essential. From mid August through October can be considered the prime fishing season, fooling well trained fish (from the summer anglers) is a challenge and this is also the time when it’s most likely you will catch the big boys (over 1.2 meters/ 48”+). Fishing is possible till end of October, assuming you are willing to put up with the cold.

 

The primary camp is typically set up near the Eg River, and other national camps around there.

There is a requirement of 50% deposit at the time of reservation. There are several packaged adventure tours that is possible and a custom trip can be tailored depending on your request. once you get to Chinggis Khaan International Airport we will take care of everything from that point on – pickups, lodge/ camp set ups, fishing licenses, Ulaanbaatar tours, and up to your departure. For fishing trips, the group includes transportations, driver, translators, fishing & outdoor guides, chef , plus a trip manager.
